Where It All Began

It started with a simple dream: to share the kind of pizza Anthony grew up eating — honest, fiery, and unforgettable.

In 2002, Anthony Mancini opened the doors to his first coal-fired pizzeria in Pittsburgh's West End, armed with a family recipe passed down through three generations and an imported Neapolitan coal oven. The neighborhood didn't know what was coming — and they loved every bite.

What sets our pizza apart isn't just the coal fire — it's the obsessive attention to every element. Our dough is made fresh each morning from imported Italian "00" flour. Our tomatoes are hand-crushed San Marzanos. Our cheese is whole-milk mozzarella, never processed.

"My grandfather always said: if you can taste the fire, you made it right. Every pizza that leaves our oven carries that truth."

What Drives Us Every Day

Four core principles guide every decision we make — from the oven to the table.

Craft & Tradition

We honor the centuries-old Neapolitan art of coal-fired pizza. No shortcuts, no compromises — only the techniques that have stood the test of time.

Fresh Ingredients

Every ingredient is sourced with intention. From local Pennsylvania produce to imported Italian flour, freshness is our non-negotiable standard.

Community First

Pittsburgh isn't just our location — it's our home. We invest in local causes, partner with neighborhood farmers, and celebrate this city every day.

Warm Hospitality

Every guest who walks through our door deserves to feel at home. Exceptional food is only half the meal — genuine warmth completes it.
